KIIN is a brand of two sisters, born in the bag-making capital of northern China, made together with eleven workshops, each deep in a craft of its own.
A brand of two sisters.
We are Mei and Lin. Where most childhoods pass among bookshops, restaurants and cafés, our streets were lined with hardware stores, drafting rooms and sample workshops. We didn't yet know what we would become, but the craft of making a bag was already second nature.
We left home at fifteen and eleven — Mei to New York University, Lin to the University of Toronto. Mei went on to lead product development and strategic investment at a listed beauty group.
Then one day we returned to the place where we grew up, and made KIIN's first bag.
Eleven workshops, one bag.
Baigou has made bags for forty years. Behind every finished piece stands a web of specialists — cutters, edge-painters, hardware turners, stitchers — each workshop deep in its own craft for a decade or more.
KIIN works with eleven of them. From cutting and sewing to the final hand-finishing, each step goes to the hands that do it best. Our first tote is named Eleven in their honour.
KIIN is our shared work.

Slowly, but steady.
One thing we are absolutely certain of is that we do not chase seasons or drops. Our female artisan team works at the pace perfection asks for — a seam redone until it disappears, an edge painted until it feels like one piece.
We encourage them to take that time. What leaves the workshop is something we are both proud of — the maker and the carrier.
Four curves, one circle.
The mark draws the name into one gesture: four ascending curves, returning in a circle. Each curve rises a little higher than the last.
The circle closes and begins again — four seasons, growth, and renewal.
KIIN, the sound of seasons.
KIIN carries two ideas in its name.
